I think you’d really enjoy The City and The City - it deals with identity and culture in a really interesting way. Embassytown is very traditional science fiction, but it’s about language and psychology, so you’d probably dig it from that perspective. The other books are all more fantastical, and if you want to read them, you should probably just start with Perdido Street Station, as it’s the first. Enjoy!
